Welcome to the Rice Workshop on Improving Mobility with Low Vision. This event is funded by a workshop grant from Rice University and is closely aligned with the research program Multisensory Integration in Collision Judgments with Central Vision Loss, funded by the National Eye Institute (R01EY030961).

The purpose of this one-day workshop is to bring together nationally and internationally recognized scholars from multiple disciplines and sectors to discuss needs and strategies to help individuals with low vision, with a particular emphasis on mobility and collision avoidance such as walking, street-crossing, and driving.

The workshop will take place at Rice University in Houston, Texas, on Friday, July 29, 2022.
